Had some lovely wine while watching the world go by in the rain. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Will come again for more wine and try the food.

Great food, good service, nice wine & reasonable prices. We tried several small dishes here, and all were tasty (especially the wild mushroom polenta and the pea pancake with asparagus). The wine was good. We also had decent coffees with delicious gelato (I highly recommend the mint stracciatella and charcoal peanut butter flavours). Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Lots of plant based options and seasonal stuff, which is nice to see.

Absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. If I could tell myself anything when I moved here 4 years ago, I would tell myself to visit Bacareto (and that is not an exaggeration)! Our server made us feel so welcome (unfortunately didn’t get her name) and is a big influence in us definitely returning

Gorgeous wine & cicchetti bar in central Cardiff. Super broad selection of Venetian inspired drinks (the spritzes are fantastic) and small plates. We really appreciated the amount of creative vegetarian/vegan options! I’m pescatarian and loved the bacala (salt fish) which came on focaccia, and the potatoes with aioli Prices are reasonable too for the atmosphere, quality and location. I expect I’ll be a regular from now on..

Our first time trying Bacareto. I'd seen the sign in the window but I feel like it is a hidden gem. I had no idea how large the restaurant was. Plenty of seating on two floor, we had a great view from our front window seats. The staff was friendly, the drinks were good, food looked amazing, we will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Really delicious food, loads of vegetarian options and delicious wines. Really well priced for the quality of the food and varied flavours! Second time we’ve been and it’s better than the first!

Great service. Sat at the bar, dining on my own and the staff made me feel welcome. Great food suggestions. The small plasters were delicious and appetising. The chef excelled and the pistachio gelato (homemade) was sublime as was the pizzertte and everything I tried. Will definitely go back next time I am in Cardiff.
